Abstract
This paper discusses the U.S. defense procurement market through the prism of the economy of influence framework. We analyze the interdependence among the three main players in the defense procurement market - the Department of Defense, the U.S. Congress and the defense weapons manufacturers - and identify the interactions most susceptible to institutional corruption.
