Pascal Brixel is Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Northwestern University. He writes primarily about freedom and the social organization of work, approaching these topics in part through an engagement with the history of philosophy, especially the thought of Karl Marx. Currently, he is working on a critique of private property and capitalism on the basis of a theory of freedom, power, and alienation.
