Olamide Adekoya ‘29 is a rising sophomore interested in History and its interactions with Psychology and Data Science. She's deeply interested in using the tools at her disposal to organize and advocate for marginalized communities, both in the past and present. As a result, she often prioritizes involvement in spaces committed to social justice and public service –from getting involved with the PBHA at Harvard to leading grassroots movements herself– in hopes of bridging the widening gap between academic theories and practical applications. Through this fellowship, she hopes to further learn how to be an inclusive leader when engaging with people from diverse backgrounds and foster the skills required to build sustainable public systems.
