Marissa Sumathipala

Marissa Sumathipala is currently a PhD student at Harvard Medical School in Neuroscience, where she studies the function of serotonin neurons in the Dymecki Lab. She is also currently a resident tutor at Leverett House where she serves on the fellowships and pre-grad committees. Marissa graduated from Leverett House in 2022 with a concentration in neuroscience, and went on to do a masters in neuroscience at University of Cambridge through the Churchill Scholarship. When Marissa is not in the lab or writing code, she loves baking, cooking, taking her dog on long walks along the Charles, and figure skating.
