Maggie Lopes
Director of Business Operations
Maggie Lopes (SHRM-CP) is Director of Business Operations and is responsible for overseeing the Center’s operational, financial, sponsored research, and human resources activities. She previously held positions with the university at the Department of Economics, Center for African Studies, and Museum of Comparative Zoology. She holds master’s degree in Development Management from the London School of Economics, where she studied after four years working in Namibia. Maggie is a member of the FAS’ Performance Management Working Group and the 2024 Dean’s Distinction Review Committee. She loves facts, Lady Gaga, spending time with family in Las Vegas, giggles, and when her kids aren’t bickering.
