Lina Tori Jan
Lina Tori Jan is a Resident Tutor with Eliot House and works with the Harvard Foundation. Outside of Harvard, she serves as a course instructor for the Leading with Character online course, created in partnership with the Oxford Character Project. Lina was formerly Assistant Director of the Harvard College Women’s Center. Raised in Kabul, Afghanistan, Lina holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Oxford and a BA in Leadership Studies and Political Science from the University of Richmond.
Lina brings extensive experience in program strategy, social impact policy, and student development. Lina previously led Georgetown University’s Onward for Afghan Women initiative and served as an external advisor to the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Afghanistan. She has led high-impact initiatives recognized by the UN, U.S. government, and major foundations — raising millions of dollars in funding, scaling global programs, and providing strategic counsel to senior leaders.
