Lina Tori Jan

Lina Tori Jan is a Resident Tutor with Eliot House and a Ph.D. student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Her research examines how informal institutions and technology keep learning alive when formal education systems collapse or face ideological restriction and chronic underfunding. She most recently served as Assistant Director of the Harvard Foundation, where she led initiatives connecting academic inquiry with civic responsibility, global policy engagement, and cross-cultural dialogue. Across her work with academic institutions, UN entities, governments, and civil society, Lina has helped design and scale programs that expand educational access, strengthen leadership, and connect affected communities to meaningful opportunities. She has advised senior leaders, established cross-sector partnerships, and helped mobilize funding in philanthropic support. Lina holds a Master of Public Policy from University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership Studies and Political Science from the University of Richmond.
