Jocelyn Rice

Jocelyn Rice is an English Ph.D. candidate and an adjunct instructor at Boston College, where she studies twentieth-century American culture with a focus on the built environment. Jocelyn’s dissertation considers institutional change in the field of higher education through the methodological insights of material culture studies. Her research has been supported by the Clough Center for Constitutional Democracy Doctoral Fellowship and the New England Regional Fellowship Consortium. Jocelyn received her B.A. from Bates College in American History and her M.A. from Boston College in English literature. For eight years, she has served as a proctor in Harvard Yard, where she lives with her wife and daughter.
