Jack Flanigan

Jack Flanigan ('27) is a concentrator in Social Studies. Jack is fascinated by how institutions—especially educational ones—shape moral beliefs, governance, and social cohesion. He hopes to use his fellowship at the Safra Center to investigate how (if at all) institutions of higher education purport to engage in normative activity. Outside of his academic interests, Jack is the Co-Chair of Harvard's Student Board for IntellectualVitality, which promotes open and rigorous discourse on campus. He also sings in the Harvard Glee Club and hosts weekly poetry readings with his roommates in Pforzheimer House.
