Emily Bromley

Emily leads the Center's eight fellowship programs, as well as the general academic programming underlying the fellows’ community. Since joining the Center in the spring of 2013, Emily has worked with every one of the Center's four faculty directors, touching many aspects of its day-to-day functioning, from copyediting working papers and supporting faculty to website maintenance and research administration. She most enjoys working with the Center's Fellows and feels especially lucky to get to meet a new group of them every year and to continue working with her amazing ELSCE staff colleagues.

Emily is a former lawyer and much prefers her current, less argumentative career. Emily has also discovered that, once primed to notice typographical errors, it is impossible to stop seeing them in every form of printed material--but it is also impossible to catch them all. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, crocheting silly stuffed creatures, and traveling.
