Current Graduate Fellow [Yuan Tian](/people/yuan-tian) has published "An interpersonal form of faith" in the journal *Philosophy and Phenomenological Research*. Tian's paper develops a relational view of interpersonal faith, arguing that placing faith in someone—especially in challenging moments—creates a unique normative relationship akin to a promissory bond. It explores four key aspects: faith as an act of solidarity, its relevance in difficulty rather than ease, its potential to be rejected, and the appropriate emotional response when it is frustrated.
