New article from Yuan Tian
Current Graduate Fellow Yuan Tian has published "An interpersonal form of faith" in the journal Philosophy and Phenomenological Research. Tian's paper develops a relational view of interpersonal faith, arguing that placing faith in someone—especially in challenging moments—creates a unique normative relationship akin to a promissory bond. It explores four key aspects: faith as an act of solidarity, its relevance in difficulty rather than ease, its potential to be rejected, and the appropriate emotional response when it is frustrated.
