A recording is now available of the Center's October 10 Civil Disagreement Series event. *Who Wants to be a Trillionaire? The Ethics of Extreme Wealth* was a robust discussion of the ethical considerations attending the unprecedented growth of a billionaire class amidst a sharp rise in income and wealth inequality worldwide. Led by moderator [Christopher Robichaud](/people/christopher-robichaud) (Senior Lecturer in Ethics and Public Policy, Harvard Kennedy School of Government; Director of Pedagogy and Civil Disagreement, Edmond & Lily Safra Center for Ethics), panelists [Tom Malleson](https://www.kings.uwo.ca/academics/faculty-info/member-profile/?doaction=getProfile&id=tmalleso) (King’s University College, Western University), [Shruti Rajagopalan](https://www.mercatus.org/scholars/shruti-rajagopalan) (Mercatus Center, George Mason University), [Jessica Flannigan](https://jepson.richmond.edu/faculty/bios/jflaniga/) (University of Richmond), and [Nien-hê Hsieh](/people/nien-h%D5%BE-hsieh) (Harvard Business School) explore considerations of democracy, deservedness, sufficientarianism, income inequality, and development innovation that shape the ethics of wealth. In the spirit of the Civil Disagreement Series, the panelists also demonstrate how people of vastly differing viewpoints can share values and engage effectively across differences.
