ICDP Fellows Create Text Hotline for Israel/Palestine
Two ELSCE Intercollegiate Civil Disagreement Partnership (ICDP) Senior Fellows, Shira Hoffer and Nicolas Pantelick, have been featured by the Harvard Crimson and WBZ News for their efforts to create an Israel-Palestine information hotline aimed at providing non-partisan information and educational resources to those wishing to better understand the current Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Through their ICDP fellowships, both Shira and Nicolas have gained considerable experience in engaging in and leading conversations about difficult, important topics across political difference. The Edmond & Lily Safra Center provided support to them during the project’s set-up phase.
The text hotline, which is now live, is staffed by diverse volunteers, including Jews, Muslims, Christians, Israelis, and Palestinians with a common goal of promoting understanding and peace. They are also seeking additional volunteers. Learn more here, on their website, or by emailing hotlineforip@gmail.com.
