The Edmond & Lily Safra Center for Ethics is pleased to announce that our Faculty Associate, Dr. Jane Kamensky, has been appointed as the new President of Monticello by the Thomas Jefferson Foundation. She will assume her new role on January 15, 2024.

During her time with us, Jane has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to civil discourse and high quality history and civic education throughout the life course. She has proven an invaluable member of our community as a Faculty Associate, participant in our Design Studio for Ethics and Civics Pedagogy, and Scholarly Advisory Committee Member for the Democratic Knowledge Project. Her scholarship, collaboration, and active involvement in the work of our community have significantly furthered our mission and will have a lasting impact on our students, fellows, and faculty. We are confident she will bring the same dedication, wisdom, and scholarly excellence to her new role as President of Monticello. The Edmond & Lily Safra Center for Ethics extends its warmest congratulations to Dr. Jane Kamensky on this well-deserved appointment.
