"Un-Monument" Speaker Series Announces Fall 2025 Lineup for Public Conversations Series

Curated by Harvard Professor Brandon M. Terry, member of the ELSCE Faculty Committee, the "Un-Monument" speaker series returns this August to Boston Common with a powerful lineup exploring civil disagreement, pluralism, and public ethics.

On August 20, 2025, the first event will feature Cornel West and Robert George who will discuss their new book, Truth Matters: A Dialogue on Fruitful Disagreement. Next, Aziz Rana and Noah Feldman will take part in their first public debate: "Is the Constitution Broken?". The series will onclude with Clint Smith and Juliet Hooker on "How Monuments Speak To and About Us," examining the ethics and aesthetics of public monuments.

All events are free and open to the public.
